Homework - Why do we kneel on our left knee first 3 Years, 11 Months ago  
At the beggining of each lesson, we sit in seiza, (kneeling) to perform seiza rei, (kneeling bow)

Why, when we kneel do we put the left knee down first ?

This is also performed this way in kata, so why do we put that knee down in particular?
