Wesley Greenridge
Gold - had a good couple of fights which ended quickly, Wesley has made significant improvements lately and showed that he has a good technique as well as power, so well done Wesley for some good Judo.
Bethany Mills
Silver Bethany fought like a tiger as usual, giving away a lot of weight and showing true character, she fought against a couple of club members too, losing only one fight to the eventual winner, nice ippon seionage attempts, we want to see some more of them
Georgia Greenridge
Bronze Georgia is also starting to improve with her general desire to win, she enjoys the fight and does her best when she is in shiai (competition).
She fought well in the same group as Hannah and Bethany, and it was nice to see her use her groundwork to win one of her matches.
Hannah Teal
Bronze Nice to see Hannah making an appearance again in a competition, it seems to have been a while since she appeared, and she came out fighting like a lion, unlucky with decisions but kept coming back and fighting well, congratulations on your medal
Despite it being a small turnout for
Shinto Judo club we made a positive impact on the day. All the sensei would like to see more members attending competitions, if you do not feel ready to compete yet, why not try and come along to see what its about, and while you are there you can encourage
your fellow
Shinto Judo club members to win on the day. Its an amazing experience and one that you will keep for a long time.
Shiai (Competition) is an important part of your development in Judo.
