I have studied several martial arts over the years and I would reccomend all of them except the wing chun school I attended briefly, not the art you understand but the poor teaching given. For me judo has helped me discover myself (sorry for the cliche) in that I had to dig deep and stand when all I wanted to do was run away. I am sure any of the other arts could have done the same but not with the same intensity that Judo demands. So for me at forty nine years old and still training; I know that there are older out there which I find brilliant considering the physicality of Judo I have found something which I love to do which keeps me fit and healthy. I have made a lot of friends over the years through Judo and learned a great deal about life, so for me I like Judo because it forces you to look at yourself and help you to find the will to go on. Sorry for waxing lyrical but I felt the need to put this down, I imagine you may have other reasons for liking Judo and I would love to hear them.
