On Sunday 22nd May, 5 members took part in a team event held at St Albans Judo Club. The teams were made up by mixing individuals with members of different clubs. This is structured to help improve the relationship between several BJA and BJC clubs and the results were not disappointing.
Shinto participants were Rhiannon Shand, Aysegul Mehmet, Jordon Forbes Amos Grifton Forbes Amos and Samuel James. Everyone fought very well and had some good wins throughout the day. Being a team event they had to rely on their other team members to do just as well to determine what medal they win.
Rhiannon and Aysegul’s team ended up winning the bronze. Samuel’s team won the silver and Jordon and Grifton’s team were the gold medallist.
